I was a little bored with the new rap music these days. I rediscovered the clever rhymes upon listening to an old rap music CD. My search lead me to rap music videos with old concerts posted by other fans fixated on old school rap. From Sir Mix-a-lot to Warren G, old school rap had some good solid beats.

Watching rap music videos was a great way to listen to free rap music without the fear of breaking any laws. It has always been a fear of mine to become the rare few that gets sent to court because of downloading free rap music that turned out to be illegal.

Also, the best deals were in old school rap music CD's. On auction sites, people were auctioning off their old school rap music collections for practically impossible deals. Also, marketplaces selling used rap music CD's had amazing deals. This is a cheap way to get old school music onto your iPod.

A feat not easily attainable in any music market, especially the music market of today, where hip-hop and pop rock dominate the charts, placing rap music CDs a step below on the ladder. But Lil Wayne’s rap music CDs have been a really hot commodity since he released over 77 songs on what he called mix tapes in 2005-2006. This catapulted the former small boy rapper to superstardom in a relatively short period of time, and his record label, Capital Music Group, could not be any happier with the sales of the rap music CDS. If you thought that Lil Wayne has it all made, think again. The rapper was busted last year at the Arizona/California state border with all sorts of drugs and paraphernalia and faces Arizona state charges that could set him behind bars for years if convicted. On the upside, he has more than enough money to pay for a brilliant defense attorney.

He gained a lot of attention after claiming that the rap music CD would be called the N-word (censored). With such a blunt statement, it was apparent that his new rap music would be focused around African-American racial conciseness. That idea was hammered home with the album cover showing Nas’ back with scars from whipping that create an “N”. The YouTube song preview attached above shows that rap music CD cover along with the uncensored Hero single.

The album has 15 tracks of controversial material that highlights himself as the best rapper of the time along with inequality issues, poverty and the idea of what it means to be black in America. Those who appreciate what Nas has to say will like this album. Others who are not so keen on listening to racial conscious rhetoric will not like much of the album. Either way he shows off why he has been on the top so long. His beats are great and lyrics are well thought out.

However, lot purists say that this new rap music song does an injustice to rap and to Lil Wayne. Most of these people say that he was no inventing anything new with the song and that he got out of what made him so good. Personally, I think, this new rap music track was made to appeal to a larger audience and even though it seems to do it well, it also seems to undercut the already established base of Lil Wayne fans. Nevertheless, if you listen to rap music, you’ll find that this sing is not as bad as the rap music purists claim to be. Is it hardcore rap? Maybe not, but whoever said that all new rap music tracks have to be in line with hardcore rap? I find myself bobbing and singing to the beats and lyrics of this rap song all the time. It doesn’t matter who you are, pure rap or not, this song will make you want to break your neck all day long. Press play on the clip above and judge for yourself whether this new rap song is a real hit or just a ringer.

You know the very white kids that actually tried to make a rap music CD? And while the musical world is amuck with trash talking about these many white rappers, I still miss the day when there were some more rap music CDs coming out by these cats. I am not saying that stars like Eminem are not cool, and yes he has plenty of great rap music CDs, but I would be nice to see Marky Mark back on the trail again, releasing a new rap music CD. Sure there are some great rap music Cds out there, and I am not saying that rap is bad. I would just like to see a little more variation in the market. In rock, for example, you see plenty of variation, to likes of Lenny Cravitz and others, that help to shift the identity of the music to just the music, and not a race. But with the more recent rap music CDs I have seen, it seems like we are do for more integration. Where are all of the Latino and Caucasian rappers?

Pharrell and the guys from the Neptunes have put together N.E.R.D.’s new album called Seeing Sounds. Released this past Tuesday fans have already started to voice their opinions about the new rap music and it is all good. Star Track Entertainment is known for their insane over the top style, which is shown clearly in this new album. Pharrell, Hugo and Haley mashed up a bunch of different sounds and ideas to come up for the basis of each track as you can tell by Spazz, their latest single.

Eccentric lyrics, DJ mash ups and catchy beats are sure to keep this new rap music on the radio for a while.
Mash ups have become very popular for people who listen to rap music. Mash ups are heard in clubs, bars, and created on the computers of anyone who has the music knowledge and time to do so. Anyone can really mash songs together with the range of audio editing programs out there. What is so cool about the concept is the eclectic music listener can browse through their libraries and put together artists who would have normally never been able to do a song together. For new rap music that takes you all over the map, Seeing Sounds will get the job done.

It used to be that when you would listen to rap music all you would here is a lot of noise, very little content except for cursing and ear drum pounding sounds. Now days when you listen to a rap music cd you are hearing musical sounds and words that tell more of a story. The new rap music artists are trying to clean their music up and appeal to a wider variety of music lovers. I have found that I actually enjoy listening to a rap music cd when I am doing my long highway driving to and from work. I find it interesting that I will choose to listen to rap music now days when just a few years ago I did not think very much of this genre of music. I still enjoy some of my favorite songs from previous hit artists but I have added a new rap music cd to my collection and now enjoy these newer songs almost as much as my classics.

It is called Lollipop. Many that follow Wayne’s music have noticed that recently he has been synthesizing his voice on the track for a new sound. This isn’t a new idea but it is working. The entire song we only hear his synthesized voice as he raps about girls. MTV rap music videos have been featuring this song in their list of videos to watch. There is a remix of the song that you can listen to on YouTube that features Gorilla Zoe and Nicki Minaj but it is not an actual music video. The Lollipop remix streams, making YouTube a great place to listen to rap music for free.

The concept of the video is set in Vegas where Wayne is getting ready to go out with a group of girls. He gets ready, gets in the stretch limo filled with girls and is on the way to the club. Most rap music videos are censored but I found the uncensored version of this song.

No, really. I'm not kidding. In fact, Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack" has been voted the top workout song by Fitness magazine. Think about it, with their fast beats and percussive rhythms just about any rap music cd might be a good song to work out to. So you don't like Justin Timberlake, and I confess that I'm not a big fan of the little twit, there's plenty of other new rap music to listen to. Among the other rap music cd choices that are recommended for workout music include, "Ain't No Other Man," by Christina Aguilera, "Fergalicious," by Fergie, "Girlfriend," by Avril Lavigne, and "Maneater," by Nelly Furtado. Surely, with that much music to choose from, there's at least one rap music cd out there that you can work out to and get rid of that middle-aged gut. So, what are you waiting for? Of course I do have to be a little selective about the songs that I play but for the most part the new rap music is pretty tame compared to some of the free rap music that was popular a few years ago. I thoroughly enjoy watching rap music videos and love the bling and flash of the artists that are performing. I even have a rap music cd or two in my music collection and they rate right up there as some of my favorites. There seem to be a lot of new rap artists in the last couple of years and their version of new rap music seems more melodic and the lyrics seem to be a little more positive than some previous free rap music songs. I must admit that I am enjoying the new rap music changes and hope that these young artists continue to be more positive and set a great example for the younger generation coming up.
Why do so Many People Listen to Rap Music?

I want to pose and answer the longtime question which has probably persisted in the minds of many people ever since the spawning of rap music CDs and rap music videos in the early 1980’s: why do people listen to rap music? Well it is rather a simple answer to be quite direct. People listen to rap music for the same reasons that they may listen to any other kinds of music—it is appealing to them. Rap music emanated from an oppressed culture that has spawned other forms of similar music that preceded rap—such as blues, R & B and, Soul and Jazz. People listen to rap music because they associate with the rapper, the lyrics and the overall message. Most rap music is like any other kind of music that you will ever listen to. It preaches a message of love, loss, gains, happiness, sadness oppression and others. Rap music is a culturally rich source of inspiration that has derived from years of oppression and freedom—all intermingled and coexisting to the point where the birthing of such musical endeavors has changed the lives of millions of people around the world.

While watching some rap music videos I became nostalgic for those old school rap music videos. Its just that today's videos look too good. Today's rap music videos have so much technology in them that I think it takes away from the quality of the music. Now, don't get me wrong some of the new videos are cool and funny like the chain hang low rap music videos, but sometimes I just want to watch a normal video without all the computer graphics. So here it is. What I consider to be the best of all rap music videos, not because of how cool it looks but because of the purity of the genre in the video. I'm sure you have all gone, "1,2,3 and to the fouh" at the sounds of the beats to this rap music video. Old school rap music videos like this Snoop and Dr.Dre are all about the lyrics and the hook and this is what I'm looking for in new rap music. I don't know why but this king of music rap videos still keeps me head bopping every time I heard it and it has to be about 13 years since this video came out. If you are like me and like the old school flava then check the video out and chill till the next episode.

New rap music: some good stuff.

You've heard the old joke that rap rhymes with crap: not necessarily so anymore. Don't get me wrong--I've listened, or tried to listen to some pretty awful rap music over the last few years, and some of it just doesn't do it for me. There's old rap music that has hard core roots--it's out to insult and offend, or at least that's the way it appears to me as I listen to the lyrics. I just couldn't find a common line of decency in it, but maybe that was the point--it wasn't about decency--it was about expressing anger and discontent, or a social commentary on socially unacceptable behavior: that's probably more what it was about than anything else. But now that the genre has been around for a while there's some new rap music that's actually decent and engaging. Some of the new rap music goes out of its way not to offend (as did a limited amount of some of the old). But some of the new rap music artists are out to entertain without offending, and they're doing a good job. So, if you've given up on your desire to listen to rap music, get online and listen to some of the new artists that are out to produce non-offensive new rap music.

Oh man! Last week I was introduced to a Spanish rap music cd and I must say that even though I could not understand the words, it was blazing. This new rap music is called reggeaton, which is a combination of rap and reggae. The Spanish music cd I was listening to was called It's My Time from Tito "El Bambino". If you have never heard a Spanish rap music cd, you have to immediately do a search for reggeaton and start listening to this Latin hip hop beats—trust me you don't need to understand the words to feel the flow. Besides having great beats you will find that this kind new rap music is the perfect type of rhythm to dance with your girl—if you know what I mean. There are lots of sites I found on the internet offering Spanish rap music cds and some of them even have really cool videos. If you are going to download a Spanish rap music cd, make sure you look for artist like Daddy Yankee, Calle 13, Tego Calderon or Don Omar. These guys seem to be the crème of this new rap music genre. What are you waiting for, Go!

There are probably hundreds of genre of music out there in the world which makes it easy for everyone to find something that they like. Whether it is the sounds of new rap music you enjoy or the new sounds of power pop, created by the band Air Raid Anthem, that catch your ear, you are bound to come across music that will inspire and relax you. When rap music first became available there were quite a few issues surrounding the lyrics and messages that were being relayed but new rap music seems to have tailored its image and decided to be more positive with its content. It is great that the artists listen to the public fan base and improve the quality of their music in a fashion that will increase its appeal. When you listen to rap music it is usually a story about being tough and gangster life. Because most of us have not had to deal with this kind of opposition in our lives, taking the time to listen to rap music lyrics is an eye opener about the struggles of different groups of people.

The young girl behind the counter looked at me like I just landed in a ufo and sweetly said "I am sorry sir but we do not carry any of the rap music". She suggested I try Home Boyz down the street so off I went to Home Boyz. In I went and was kindly greeted by another young lady who ask if she could help me find anything. Actually, yes you can I said. My daughter told me the names of several rap music artists I might enjoy listening to and maybe you can point me in the right direction. What rap music cd are you looking for she ask. This is where things became somewhat confusing as I could only vaguely remember the rappers names. The first name I ask to see was Twelve Pack Quaker. The courteous young lady bust out laughing and said this rap music cd was by 2 Pac Shakur I think. So I ask to see a rap music cd by Ice Ball or Little Fatty Meow Meow. By now she was laughing so hard I decide to forge ahead. I ask to see a rap music cd by Bling Bling Chained Belly Hangs Low or Poop Loggy Log. Well, you can see I was getting no where so I ask for an AC/DC rap music cd and this was when they threw me out of the store. As I was being escorted out the door I pronounced "I'll be back"!

Listen to Rap Music Online!

Some people say that rap music CDs are a thing of the past with digital technology. Now, anyone can download free rap music online, even new rap music. Rap music videos are still an accessable way to watching rap icons perform.

If you want to listen to rap music for free, you can either download it online or listen to internet radio. I definitely recommend radio online as a way to listen to rap music because it's free, legal, and it still provides you the variety within the genre. The great thing about online radio is that it's unpredictable in what it plays- the same way it is on the radio- however, online radio is typically genre specific.

I prefer to listen to rap music on the internet radio because there are few, but short advertisements that a listener is forced to listen to. This definitely beats the AM/FM radio because you sometimes have to sit through one commercial after the other. AM/FM radio lets you listen to rap music, but they also seem to make you listen to way too many commercials, as well.

The internet is also a great way to watch rap music videos. It seems that MTV is merely playing dating shows, like A Shot of Love with Tila Tequila or Next. If you want to decide what kind of video you want to watch and when you want to watch it you can do it online.

Listen to rap music online and watch rap music online in order to get the freedom you want in order to enjoy it.

Rap music. You either love it, or you hate it, or if you live with a rap lover, you will either learn to love it , or you'll learn to hate it. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground with rap music, and the new rap music is really a spin on something very, very old. That's just a bit of something I'd like to bring up--rap music has very old roots. Most people seem to think that new rap music is a spanking new thing--born out of this culture--a new entity. Well, the lyrics are certainly new, but they too have old roots--very human roots. You can go back and read about the plots that make up many rap song lyric lines in ancient stories: Greek, Egyptian, Roman, Elizabethan--human nature doesn't change/hasn't changed. Furthermore, the beat of rap (do you ever really listen to rap music beats?) music, well, that beat has been around forever as well--it's an old beat and an old rhythm--with a slightly new twist thrown in. So, new rap music with old roots? You bet.

He has had countless hit singles and rap music videos that portray the gangster lifestyle that he grew up living. Sometimes art follows life and that was what happened to TI on October 13, 2007 in an Atlanta parking lot after the ATF followed a lead that led them to TI's bodyguard who was looking to buy unregistered machine guns. In the new rap music report attached you will get the low down on the exact circumstances surrounding the arrest. The purchase was for a reported 21,000 dollars, which included assorted machine guns and silencers. He was arrested just before going to the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Just recently, TI released a statement video on a new rap music website called streetcred.com talking about the federal weapons charges that he recently caught. In the video, he seemed assured that he would not be convicted for the alleged crime. If he is though he will face jail time that could turn out to be a long time. He also said that the many news reports surrounding the case are untruthful. He is currently working on new rap music for his next album.
